  Well this is the last remaining buffet in town to serve snow crabs. Once the staple in every buffet big and small, prices have migrated all but this one to really sketchy blue crabs. Super Moon still serves the old school boiled snow crabs.
  
  Now they have a guy who stands over the crab and gives you three legs at a time. I don't blame them. On the cheap end snow crabs now retail at least @ $8.99/lb. Other places that serve AYCE snow crab now charge around $35/person. Super Moon charges around $17/adult, $9/child. Of course when you pay up say at Sarna's, they bake the crab and the body doesn't taste completely void of flavor like at buffets. How I get around that is to have a container of Spicy Mayo from the sushi line for the crab body meat. I think Super Moon maybe be now the safest place to have AYCE crab, as  snow crabs are boiled at sea, and the other spots serve blue and crabs often on the edge.
  
  Other notables at Super Moon are ok sushi, roast duck(!!), and always fresh Mongolian BBQ. The crayfish were probably the worst I've had at any MN buffet...they tasted like they were on the edge of freezer burn. The soft serve is way off. They have the cheapest and fake soft serve mix that comes out watery and not resembling anything dairy.
  
  Come her for the crab, and be patient. Finish up with a plate of Mongolian BBQ with a side of duck, and have mangos for dessert.

  I already know to have low standards when trying a buffet. Not all of them can be amazing like Teppanyaki Grill. This place was even below my buffet standards.
  
  Super Moon came highly recommended, and I was inclined to agree when I saw the spread contained dim sum items like rice in banana leaves, pork belly, taro bun, and pork stomach, along with pig's feet. I tried these as well as commonly recurring Chinese buffet dishes, in addition to the sushi. I did not try the Mongolian BBQ grill as I had grown tired of the disappointment, while at the same time being provided a intense feeling of nausea. But more on that momentarily.
  
  The dim sum items were nothing to boast about. They were all dry (as is to be expected when sitting under heat lamps) and flavorless. The lack of flavor was a recurring theme in the other dishes, with one positive exception being the coconut shrimp, and one negative exception being the sesame and general tso's chicken.
  
  The shrimp packed flavor, but were dry from the heat lamps. Still my favorite dish overall. The sesame-general chicken, as the only difference between the two was the sesames sprinkled on top, had a sauce that was obviously ketchup based. Midwestern boy born and raised yes, and yet I am not a fan of ketchup. This is especially the case on my hotdogs, on my fries, and on my got-dag sesame or general tso's chicken!!! It was at this point I began to feel the gurgling in my stomach.
  
  I grabbed some lo mein and fried rice to ease the inner turmoil. The lo mein was not terrible, but the noodles were sliced into three (3) inch bits fit for children. Insulting. The fried rice was just rice with soy sauce. Thinking I am okay, it is here where I try the sushi, which yes was a dumb move when I am already feeling squeamish. I grabbed three (3) rolls that were difficult to identify, as it was apparent all non rice and vegetable ingredients were imitation such-and-such. I consumed two (2) rolls before my stomach turned against me once again. I laid out my receipt and tip and bolted out of there like I was Usain!
  
  The only compliments I can provide are to the wait staff and the ambiance of the establishment. There was soothing music playing throughout, and the place was kept clean. Regarding the staff, they were all very kind, and not once did I need to ask for a refill for my beverage. These accolades though are not enough to have me return, as I did exhibit signs of food poisoning for the next two (2) days. I am known as the Garbage Disposal, so for those with weaker stomachs, you may have been incapacitated for a week.
  
  Never returning to this place.

  Not easy at all to find balance at a buffet place. Price value, Quality, Cleanliness of place restrooms, seating area and plate dishes and service. IMHO Moon buffet has it.
  
  I was surprised at how good the variety and quality of food is. The stir fry Mongolian Grill is a plus to keep your meal healthy and the grill master keeps a smooth flow of people to perfection. Nobody waits more than 3-5 minutes.  
  The rest of the food is amazing, and the salad bar is worth it by itself. Loved the sushi bar as well. Desserts are kept more on the fruit side instead of heavy processed things, which I appreciated as well.
  
  The cleanliness from restrooms to seating area to the dishes not being mushy was perfection too.
  
  This was my third attempt to go in there, other times had been dinner time on weekend.  If you go there at peak time, you might hate the wait and line. I went 1pm on Friday.  No line, the place was busy but not overflowing. My server was top notch with drinks and any needs. Please tip accordingly.  
  
  The place smells fresh and the background music is calming.  Parking is huge so that should be no problem. Location is easy off 394 highway.
  
  I'll be a regular here, likely avoiding peak times to keep my experience flawlessly positive.

  Some of the freshest and most variety Asian buffet in twin cities. If you love sea food, they have a huge variety. The buffet also includes Chinese and American food as well as dessert. I always come for the Mongolian BBQ, which is so very good. It's your choice if you want to go vegetarian with your Mongolian bbq or add in some beef, chicken, pork or shrimp. Whatever you eat here don't forget to tip the workers, this place is big and they work very hard.

  Don't set the bar too high but this will meet your typical Chinese delivery if not exceed it.  The trick is to make your custom plate for the stir fry and get it just the way you want it.  And go back for whatever else you want either while you wait or for seconds.   Staff is polite.  Place is clean, reasonably.  But don't go around dinner rush.  You will probably get a seat fairly quickly but you will have to fight the crowd for room and food just like anywhere.  Deserts are delicious. appetizers aren't bad.  There are certainly better Chinese  and Szechuan foods,  but for all you can eat and have fun trying as many different styles as you want before busting and your wallet.  Go here.
